The SAT is a scam. It has been around for 50 years. It has never measured anything. And it continues to measure nothing. And the whole game is that everybody who does well on it, is so delighted by their good fortune that they don’t want to attack it. And they are the people in charge. Because of course, the way you get to be in charge is by having high test scores. So it’s this terrific kind of rolling scam that every so often, somebody sort of looks and says—well, you know, does it measure intelligence? No. Does it predict college grades? No. Does it tell you how much you learned in high school? No. Does it predict life happiness or life success in any measure? No. It’s measuring nothing.

Out Actor Kirsten Vangsness Willing to Leave 'Criminal Minds' Over Sexist Salary

Kirsten Vangsness, the wildly popular out actor who plays Penelope Garcia on CBS’ Criminal Minds, may not be back for a ninth season of the crime drama, reports Deadline. The studio reportedly issued final offers to the show’s four lead stars, but female actors Vangsness and A.J. Cook say they’re unwilling to accept a salary that’s reportedly less than half that of their male costars. 

Kristen Vangsness and A.J. Cook are consistently some of the best parts of the show.  Bring attention to Criminal Minds Sexist pay practices and don’t let them get away with this shit.  

The executives on this show have a history of absolutely fucking over the female cast members. It’s disgusting.

Potential kitten

DJ and I found a stray orange tabby. He’s quite vocal and VERY affectionate.

DJ is going to let him stay the nights and let him out during the day to see if he actually wants a cat. I told him that since it’s a ginger cat, he has to keep it and name him something Doctor Who-esque.

Name possibilities so far are Raxacoricofallapatorius but Wilfred for short. This probably makes zero sense if you don’t watch the show but I’m super excited. Pictures of the cuteness tomorrow when I have more time.

 

Unrelated but totally related side note: it’s amazingly difficult to have sex with a vocal cat outside the door and trying to jump on the bed.
